Cherry Point Air Show Returns in May 2026

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CHERRY POINT, N.C. (May. 15, 2025) — The MCAS Cherry Point Air Show returns May 9-10, 2026, with a patriotic flair and a new traffic and parking team to provide a cherished experience for guests across the region.

As the nation celebrates 250 years of American independence, the 2026 show will aim to honor our heritage with a powerful display of airpower, patriotic unity, and national pride.

“The MCAS Cherry Point Air Show is more than an aviation event, it’s a celebration of American excellence and a tribute to the strength, innovation, and freedom our nation has stood for over two and a half centuries,” said Col. Brendan “Cletus” Burks, commanding officer of MCAS Cherry Point. “In partnership with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing and our community, we are proud to host a world-class event that reflects the professionalism of our Marines and the enduring bond we share with Eastern North Carolina.”

Headlining the 2026 event is the return of the legendary U.S. Navy Blue Angels, joined by an exciting lineup of military and civilian acts that continue to inspire and captivate. Fan-favorite performances such as the jet truck, parachute jump team, and aerobatic pilots like Randy Ball, RJ Gritter and Tom Larkin are already slated to return.

To improve the guest experience, MCAS Cherry Point, in consultation with a large-scale event traffic and parking operations expert, will implement a redesigned traffic and parking plan developed specifically for Cherry Point. These improvements aim to streamline the flow of traffic and parking for tens of thousands of visitors, significantly expediting installation access, parking coordination, and safety for all guests. This initiative reflects the command’s commitment to continuous improvement and delivering a positive and memorable air show experience for all.

As always, the air show will be free and open to the public, with general admission and parking offered at no cost. Premium seating options will also be available for those seeking upgraded amenities. Visitors can expect an immersive experience filled with aerial demonstrations, aircraft static displays, food vendors, and interactive exhibits for guests of all ages.

Planning continues for MCAS Cherry Point’s immense community engagement and outreach event.
