MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CHERRY POINT, NC (Dec. 19, 2022) - The U.S. Navy Blue Angels confirmed the team will be the headliner at the 2024 Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point Air Show with the release of its 2024 air show season schedule during the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS), Dec. 13, 2022.
May 11-12, 2024 is the official date for the three-time award-winning Marine Corps community outreach event that draws thousands to eastern North Carolina approximately every two years.
Last year's show garnered record-breaking recognition, receiving three awards - the Pinnacle Platinum Award, Dick Schram Memorial Community Relations Award, and the Blue Angels Military Air Show of the Year Award.
Preliminary planning is in full effect and more information is forthcoming. Air show goers can expect MCAS Cherry Point and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) to host a free, world-class air show that will include a number of military and civilian aerial performances with the "Blue Angels" as the headlining performance.
The air show is MCAS Cherry Point and 2nd MAW's way to show appreciation to our local and regional community partners and neighbors for their enduring support to our Marines, Sailors, and Families stationed in Eastern North Carolina.
