Because of the relative ease of getting around on
our flat, cement tarmac, the Cherry Point Air Show
serves a great venue for entertaining our special
needs groups. |

INDIVIDUAL SPECIAL NEEDS ATTENDEES |
| If
you're planning on attending any of the three "open
to the public" air shows, here are some helpful
hints to make your air show experience exciting and
easier: |

Arrive early. Three special needs areas will be
provided for wheelchair bound attendees directly on
the flightline, but they will inevitably fill up
fast. |

Follow the signs designated for Special Needs
parking area. There will be transportation provided
to those in wheelchairs & with special needs to
exclusive seating areas. |
| ~
Parking - several parking lots will designated for
special needs attendees. Please post your
handicapped parking privilege is visible and the
military police escorts will direct you accordingly.
Because of space limitations, we encourage you to
arrive early. |
~ Be
prepared. Security will be tight and all bags will
be checked. If you have special medications, please
note them to the military police officer upon entry.
Also note that you will be on an open, flat, cement,
tarmac for the entire day. Bring sunscreen, hats,
sunglasses and ear plugs.
Guests with Special Needs: Areas and
Transportation
Guests with
special needs parking passes should enter the
Air Show Event via the Main Gate of MCAS Cherry
Point which is located off Highway 101. There
will be transportation from the special needs
parking area to the handicap seating area. Due
to limited transportation and seating, only 1
person may accompany the special needs guest.
